McQueen is 100% in the convo. as well... I'd trade up for him... Maybe Lankovic and Smith as well.
That is a solid top 9 to me. Afterwards it is more murky.
Hi Everyone, any teams willing to trade out from the 8-10 spot for Habs 16th and 17th picks and a sweetener like Pittsburgh's 2nd or a B prospect like Roy / Farrell / Mesar
Agree with the first part of your post. The bolded doesn't really make sense to me though.I don’t think the value is off at all.
The question is finding a team with a draft board tiered in such a way that’s attractive to them.
Such a boom or bust potential.
Imagine trading a chance at Quinn Hughes for Martin Kaut and Ty Smith.
In 2018, Hughes was picked with #7. Kaut and Smith were 16 and 17.Agree with the first part of your post. The bolded doesn't really make sense to me though.
Schaefer is the only player I see with Quinn Hughes like talent, and no one is talking about trading for 1OA. Also, it would be assumed that the trade would happen after the lottery, so teams know where they are picking already.
The fall off in quality after 1-5 is quite big compared to 6-10.oh ok
Just like for Dach & Newhook, right?. No thanks for me. IMHO, they should trade the picks for someone more established, and if that doesn't work, then use the picks. You can never have enough prospects.Enough with the trading up and enough with the prospects. Its time to trade assets for youngish guys to help now.
You’re correct, my proposal is literal and I believe I’m a GM who makes trade decisionsNo snark intended, just no one here has the ability to make a trade. Or do they![]()
congrats . You’re the second literalist in the thread. Next time I’ll pretend not to be a real GMWhy are you asking as if you are the GM and other people on here have authority over these NHL teams?
It's just funny because these are minute details that likely wouldn't affect a team.
It's just the way you phrased it, as if you have the power to make trades, and someone else in here has aswell. You’re correct, my proposal is literal and I believe I’m a GM who makes trade decisions

From Islanders I’d definitely do that deal if one of my guys was off the board at 10.
Habs woudlnt need to add a 2nd both our 1sts would be enough for #9I'm intrigued by the idea of trading #9 for #16, #17, and #41.
I did it deliberately for a laugh Now back to the proposalIt's just the way you phrased it, as if you have the power to make trades, and someone else in here has aswell.
it would more likely be 16,17 for 9 + 2nd and even then, thats not enough. 16 and 17 are very good picks.Habs woudlnt need to add a 2nd both our 1sts would be enough for #9
i would do it i think we have enough depth we need elite talent and picking in the top 10 gives us a higher chance at itit would more likely be 16,17 for 9 + 2nd and even then, thats not enough. 16 and 17 are very good picks.
Guhle/Reichel vs Perfetti
Newhook/Krebs vs Zegras
Kaut/Smith vs Kravtsov
Valamaki/Lilegren vs Rasmussen
Chychrun/Fabbro vs Sergachev
Barzal/Connor vs Meier
Milano/Sanheim vs Ehlers
Zadorov/Lazar vs Horvat
Wilson/Hertl vs Trouba
IDK, which years really benefit having a single, higher pick?
i dont see any elite talent drafted over the past 9 years at any of those spots.i would do it i think we have enough depth we need elite talent and picking in the top 10 gives us a higher chance at it
All jokes aside I’ve had a pretty good track record. Not all my guys have worked out but we needed drafting guys I really wanted and were on my lists.I'm sure the Islanders scouting organization will take, your "guy" into real consideration.
