Our opponent did not show up and we took advantage. Played a full 60mins. Great W.

Hoping Anderson will be okay

Didn't watch this one, but the sens were pretty sloppy against montreal as well. Montreal was also sloppy on Saturday.

Did the habs look better than Saturday, at least?

This looked extremely painful and Anderson is already playing hurt by having so many therapy days. I wonder if he is going to miss some games.

Not really. It's going to be really difficult because Detroit & Columbus keep winning too. We're still 5 pts out, so made up no ground.

However, we did pass 2 teams: NYI & Philadelphia. Still 4 teams in front of us for 8th.

Columbus sort of reminds of the 02 habs. I can see them taking a step back next year.

Detroit is precarious as well. They used their coaching bump card this year, which might last the remainder of this season. Who knows next year as that team does have significant holes to address to be a more consistent threat.

Some of Detroit's young players are starting to contribute like Edvinsson & Johansson on D, and Kasper at forward.

Debrincat has also been insanely hot, and they've gotten above average goaltending from Talbot and Lyon.

WE WIN WE WIN

I should go back to Center Bell against SJ for another shutout aswell!! Yeaaah!!

Great game to see in person!!

Damn, what's happened to the Hurricanes? They suck!

All lines were great. I love Beck between Laine & Newhook. Beck & Newhook bring speed that opens up the ice for Laine. Move Dach.

Hutson goal!! Who-hoo!
Slafkovsky goal!! Yes.
Suzuki 3 pts! He's close to being ppg again. 57 pts in 58 games. Go Suzi!
Points by Caufield & Hutson.

Monty played well for the shut-out.

Nice win.
Missed half the game as I was curious about the CTV debate.

Is there anything Beck did in particular, that makes it look like he’s ready now to assume a middle 6C role with the Big Club?

He played a really solid 2-way game. He didn't get an assist on Laine's goal, but Beck driving the net started the play.

He also made a good defensive play in our zone & sprung Laine for a sort of breakaway. His speed, willingness to drive up the middle of the ice & stay in the slot, opened up ice for both Laine & Newhook.

Laine actually scored 5 on 5. He picked up 2 PP assists for a 3 point night. It was definitely a better game from Laine.

Imo, Beck brings far more than Dach. We can move on from Dach.

Dach might open the door to an interesting return given his age, size and likely perception by some suitors that they can mold him into more than he has shown so far.

Not sure some suitor might still view him as a potential top 6 C but if one does, that will raise his value. All that is needed is one.

I think Dach is someone to trade during the summer and not at the trading deadline — however, if a great return presents itself, any time is a good time.

I keep Dach and wouldn't trade him at his lowest value. I see this season as a mulligan for him. He's still a 6'4" RH forward who was excellent before getting his knee destroyed.
