Post-Game Talk: Habs lose to the Kraken in OT

  • HFBoards is doing server maintenance Thursday March 13th at 9 AM GMT 5 AM EDT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
Montreal really needs that stabilizing defenseman you trust late in games

Matheson just isnt it. He has some attributes and it wasnt fault but was he on for all 4 goals (ot notwithstanding)

-2 and both PKs

Again not a Matheson issue, the lack of a true number one defenseman one
Oh you must mean Kovacevic. The guy who actually could defend and was a +11 during last year's shit show. That guy?

Course it was a set play

Only guy who didnt recognize it was Napoleon, again

...that was the MOST PATHETICLY IDIOTIC thing to do to start an OT...been tellin' y'all for weeks now that Marty isn't the coach we need anymore...he's soo far outcoached every game that we might as well grab someone from the stands to be coach...:madfire:

What a weird comment. We didn't lose this game because we didn't have a decent 2C.
We lost this game because no 2C, no Kovacevic etc. Hugo made some bad decisions going into this season and bad decisions at the trade deadline. If we don't make the playoffs it will be because of their vision which sucks this year. No excuses for Hugo. There's other things that bother me as well, foxhole moves like Newhook.

Can't believe I'm going to say that but maybe we should consider trying to keep Armia . We have seen our Armialess pk tonight and it's not pretty.
Well if anyone paid any attention to what I've been saying about our PK in the how much for Evans thread I was fairly adamant it was Joel Armia's play that changed everything around starting down the stretch last season. He was also predominant in our Covid run to the Cup when Evans wasn't even playing.

The wheels came off that one in a hurry. This is a game they let slip through their fingers and should have won, they’re better than Seattle. Shane Wright was invisible, so thank God we dodged that bullet and drafted Slaf instead, The kid is in beast mode right now.

They still scored 4 goals tonight. O'Reilly or Kovacevic (wtf) weren't going to prevent them from choking tonight.

Can Reinbacher play a couple of games? Can’t really do worse than Savard right now tbh

Guhle Hutson
Matheson Carrier
Strubs Reinbach

Imagine staying up for this, you people make me laugh.
Imagine waking up 4:30am to watch that 1st period lol. Some of the biggest heaps of garbage I've seen all year (and yes, I remember how bad they were early on). I'm honestly not even mad about that OT, I'm just happy we managed to get a point out of this.

Dan Bylsma is a good experienced coach with a cup ring iirc... It showed when it mattered...
Bylsma’s cup ring came 16 years ago, and it was running off the back of none other then Michel Therrien’s system. He’s done a whole lot of nothing since.
