Y'all making it sound like we were a lifeless mess getting caved in by the opposition tonight but that wasn't the case. Yeah it sucks losing 4-0 but really the biggest difference was Allen having a really good game and Monty having a bad one (seems to be the norm lately for him which is concerning). We created enough chances to win this game.
Are you crazy? The Habs had no life. They had like 3 legit scoring chances. No real extended offensive zone possession time. The shot stat is empty.

I'm just going to leave this here.
There are way too many plays dying on the sticks of #20 and #92.

9 losses in a row on home ice against the New Jersey Devils.

Ok, I know some likes to use the same players as punching bag but when are we gonna talk about Suzuki or even Caufield in the last 6-7 games?

Is it forbidden

yeah, they've been shit, okay, doesn't change that when they're playing well Slaf is a passenger. and when they're not playing well he can't create anything on the ice. He's 20 and has the energy and skating of a 30 year old man.

Like I said in the GDT, the big twins we saw in the home feed during the 1st period were the only positive visuals from this game.
Even those were denied us!

Oof that was bad & boring. Guys are checked out, not all of them but too many.

Allen did not have that good a game. Most of the Habs have no scoring touch.

The 2 of them combine for 0 5v5 goals across the last 19 periods...

Our first line as 0 "clutch" factor. It's starting to feel more and more like we're not winning anything until they're our 2nd line.

If we throw a boatload of money at Rantanen and a massive package around both 1sts+ prospects to land a high end center then maybe Demidov-New C-Rantanen could take over 1st line duties.

I know there's almost no chance of it happening, but every summer one GM goes insane on the trade/FA market to bolster their team. Maybe this summer it'll be us.

I grew up in a Hart Theodore followed by HOF Price's era. I can't f***ing stand having sub-par goaltending. So many L and lost points are due to our ass goaltending.

The biggest impact that everyone forget is this one : Giving your teammates confidence that you'll make the stop so they don't have to play scared to make a simple tiny mistake. OR that you will give a Prime A+ rebound right in front of you 5-10times a game.

It is so obvious that no one trust Monty to make a save right now, they are overprotecting the shots because they feel like everything could go in. With reason.

Yeah I guess us not making the best of our opportunities is part of the story but Allen was really sound in his positioning, just a very mistake-free game from him. Like I said, the chances to score were there, arguably had more quality chances than the Devils.

too many low energy, low motor players on the team

Gotta start making moves to change the culture. They seem more keen on waiting this out with guys with no pulse will just infiltrate the team

Also a lame duck coach who really has instilled NOTHING, no identity. Lots of sweet nothings from MSL that some fans and media eat up but amount to nothing of value

In the last 11 games, Slaf has 6 points and Cole has 7. Not sure how one is deemed as a passenger over the other. They have both been bad. Cole is back to trying his 0.01% red line top corner shots he’s so lost.

If the Habs score any tomorrow, I’ll be shocked.

If the Lightning don’t score 10, I’ll be mildly surprised.

The best was watching all the heart and emotion from this group of automatons. We have nobody that drags everyone into the fight, other than the corpse of Brendan Gallagher, who we throw out there occasionally.

I knew they would get beaten easily today, but they should be embarrassed with their lack of compete, their lack of anything and everything. Apologize to the fans and reimburse anyone that came from more than 100 kms away. They shouldn’t have to pay to watch that garbage.

He has the most goals of that line in the last 12 ish games. He’s been creating chances in the last 3 games that Suzuki or CC can’t burry.

My point was more that the captain and supposed best player on the team shouldn’t be getting by without no one saying anything on his play while the 20 yr old gets the sh*t.
