MSL is moving closer and closer to Ducharme territory. I am not trying to be controversial, but there have been many many signs lately.
For all we know, it's coming from upstairs.

Otherwise, we'll have to take an independent reading, like we did with Ducharme.

I can’t bear watching us try to leave our own end. We get the puck and instead of rushing up the ice on the counter-attack, we stay in our end, wait for everyone to regroup, finally start skating out, almost make it past our own blue line but then back pass it to keep it still in our end, finally skate it out only to turn it over in the neutral zone. Why does it take us so damn long to exit our zone? 😭

We had no choice, they were playing 1-3-1 in the neutral zone so our options were;
- Come in with speed as a group as if you are on a powerplay to enter the offensive zone with possession.
- Dump in and chase. ( which Evans-Slaf-Andy's line were trying to do) but L.A took the puck and just threw it high back to the neutral, rince and repeat until we make a turn over.
- That's it, there's no third option.

Montreal
Hoffman is one of the dumbest hockey players around, like what the f*** was that no look pass?!

Montreal sucked tonight. Guhle was our best player. Caufield played great. Allen was pretty solid, actually. Suzuki was meh.

I hate the 1-3-1.
The funny thing is they were playing much better before they went that route and were beating us soundly with their man to man approach.

Well waiting around in our end, back-passing and then turning it over in the neutral zone is the option we chose and we did it perfectly.

Yeah, the man to man created a high pressure forecheck that we couldn't handle. Once they backed off, we were able to move the puck better. Still boring to watch.

Big week coming up with some bottom 10 teams. Hopefully the sens keep it up, calgary wants to square the series with us, and the ducks have a hot game.

Imagine paying for that performance. Also I used to like Edmundson and now I detest him
Luckily, he has a few months to straighten himself out, before the trading deadline.

I just hope there isn't a new normal setting in.

At this point, I think either MSL has a screw loose, or has been given instruction to play the vets to showcase them for potential scouts.

Im liking St Louis less and less as i just see poor decisions

Pitlick has 6 min of ice all night and your time to play him is with less then 10 min in the third with a dzone faceoff he loses?

There were multiple similarly poor decisions on the recent trip.

The kings play some real anti-hockey

They line up with zero forcheckers, 4 guys just above their own blueline, and one guy a little further back.

It's ugly to watch, and it reminds you that not every team is subscribing to modern hockey.

I chuckled at one point because the way they line up is reminiscent of a 2nd tier hockey nation playing team Canada.
I love how Danault left us to go there because he didn’t want to play on a defensive line lmao
