The kings play some real anti-hockey

They line up with zero forcheckers, 4 guys just above their own blueline, and one guy a little further back.

It's ugly to watch, and it reminds you that not every team is subscribing to modern hockey.

I chuckled at one point because the way they line up is reminiscent of a 2nd tier hockey nation playing team Canada.

High panic level is high, his vision is low and his hockey IQ is non existent.
He is in the NHL for his shot and nothing more.
A liability in 2 out of 3 zones.

Sucks to lose. But it's for a greater good.

I had trouble seeing this team being competitive with Monahan out (plus Savard and Matheson). But really Monahan was helping a lot. Because after the 1st line there isn't much.

Glad I missed this one. Couldn't watch the game on my phone via ESPN+ due to the stupid blackout rules (game is on NHL Network) while we were at the US NTDP game. Sometimes blackout rules are kind.
