Post-Game Talk: Habs lose game 2. Capitals lead series 2-0

They should atleast leave Caufield out there as a shooter for 2nd unit. The decisions made for the PP unit have been puzzling to say the least. PP production has been ice cold for over a month now.

I figured they'd build on the initial Laine scoring streak by putting pucks on the net from the right side, while teams are cheating on Laine. But it never happened.
Hockey is so slow to make changes... like always playing the "long" game - law of averages.. playoffs are like the main event, you gotta switch up your betting patterns ffs... gamble, bluff, something.
The PP is so predictable everyone watching knows exactly what is coming.. change it up guys!!!!!!

I used to pull the goalie on a 5v3 pp to make it 6v3.. in the 2nd period.. who cares if the other team scores.. go for it.

I don't know how to translate this but there's an expression in french, this team is incolor, inodor, sans saveurs. (no colors, no hodor, no taste) At the image of the coach. He's a nerd and think being good boys and working with numbers will make them win.

Also the lack of changes in the line up, the players being put together and the lack of making improvements on the PP and PK is mind-boggling. MSL is either the most stubborn guy I've ever seen or he has a serious lack of imagination. Guess what, in anything in life, when things are not working......MAKE CHANGES. Laine is not working. And why can't Ghule get some ice time on the PP? He can do it! He can move the freaking puck. In fact I think he would be amazing. My prediction, no changes on the PP next game. You are not a statue MSL, you are alive, you can make changes! Do Something!
He changed his lines for tonight’s game and benched Laine and played 3 lines in the 3rd period.

I didn't watch the third and don't want to really ruin my night listening to st louis... so i'll ask the experts here... Was Laine really benched (as in cause he sucks his own ass) or was he sat because of an injury? Listening to McGuire on Marinaro's podcast, I get an impression it may be due to an injury.

Watching Edmundson really makes me appreciate when we had him, Weber, and Chiarot on the back end. So much more effective than the undersized D men we have now.

Size wins in the playoffs.
Id rather see Reinbacher over Savard... but it wont happen... this playoff series was gravy...

Gotta win both in MTL, possible, but the odds are getting harder, especially if there aren't any adjustments.
