Post-Game Talk: Habs lose game 2. Capitals lead series 2-0

It's not just about getting bigger. We don't need more gentle giants. We need some mean MFs who are borderline criminals, who stir shit and get away with stuff in the playoffs.
True. I said that too a few posts ago, I take Gally and Caufield ahead of Laine and Slaf right now. But that's something the PROS running our team needs to address. You go get players and draft players that have that in them. At one point, somebody should make Slaf listen to podcasts when he goes to sleep to make him meaner. He has to believe he can be.

- Demidov was looking more comfortable in the 3rd.
- Slaf also had a good game. 5 SOG, 3 Hits, 1 shot blocked.
- Guhle and Hutson looked good and you saw them adjust their game from Game 1 and Game 2.
- Monty has been solid in both games, which is encouraging.
The most positive thing I've seen in the playoffs so far has been Montie. He's really stepped up. Easily our best player in both games.

Marry putting laine out on every PP so he can waive his stick in the air and 4 guys try to get him the puck lol. IZzA gunna Work!

I'm more curious about how they do at home. Its not unusual for a team to drop the first 2 but we need wins at home. I don't expect to win the series but team needs some wins to take into next year. A 4-0 sweep after a good second half would suck.

I liked how Carrier was able to pinch smartly in the third he kept a lot of plays alive in the Ozone.

I think Washington is one of the toughest road teams in the league though.

Next game they should take out Laine and Savard. Kapanen and Xhekaj.

Also I agree resign Dvorak 3-4 years at 3.5
If they take out Savard, Reinbacher makes more sense as a replacement. Right shot with size and speed. Depends on health of course.

If we're going to put in X, I'd put him in over Struble. It's one or the other.

With the current roster and coaching, a sweep seems imminent.

Not his fault his leg twisted a weird way on the boards. In terms of where his game is, he is ready, even if he didn't play a lot this year.
He will need to decide this off season if he really wants to play anymore. If not, that fine.
If he does then he has work to do.

Unnecessarily cynical. He has nice potential, and happened to get hurt this year.

Osgood-Schlatter is not a big problem.
It's ridiculous to think throwing Reinbacher in vs the best team in the East is going to solve our problems at all. He would be overwhelmed easily. They have been destroying us on the forecheck and Reinbacher is still missing games for Laval due to injury. Recipe for disaster.
