I had us out in four. I actually think we've played better than I thought we would. We were in both games and had a lot of fight.

Caps are the vet team and we are inexperienced. You can see that right from the get go. I never thought we'd win this series. But it doesn't matter. We get to experience it. We get to see how hard it is. This is good for everyone win or lose.

Given the penalties they did call against us it's pretty obvious that the refs are using 2 different standards. I've little doubt that Xhekaj would be getting penalties for doing exactly the same stuff Washington is getting away with.

The NHL has kind of always been bush league with ref favourtism, and given the constant gambling adds it's really not a good look for the NHL.

We said anything in the playoffs is bonus (even if only 4 games). I think the team played better. 1st and 3rd period were good, 2nd was ugly.
This playoffs will allow Hughes to say what is missing and what pieces to add.

Too many players from Clown's era still, you won't win with them. I can appreciate their hard work but not enough talent.
