Post-Game Talk: Habs lose, eliminated from playoffs.

Thank you to all Montreal players for this great season of hockey .
We gave a good fight in the playoffs , we hung right in there with the high scoring Caps , we didn't make
it easy for them .

David Savard , thanks for eating all those pucks over the years in Montreal,
best of luck in your retirement , maybe will see you again with the team off ice role.

Can't wait to see what the offseason and draft bring us , excited to
see what Hughes and Gorton got planned in off-season adds and subtraction of players and possible UFA 's wanting to come to Montreal .

The future is very bright in Montreal no question about it!

Rottenburg is currently FURIOUSLY trying to phone the Habs to tell them that that is 10 minutes FAR too much and that if they need any more advice he's always available to help.
I thought he might have pitched to Hughes, how Demidov could fly back right now and still get to play in the MHL with his brother Demibod.

Ouf! it's hard to find positives in this last game. No pushbacks whatsoever.

Overall though Incredible resilience from this team all season. From a team that was projecting to be among the last ones. Constant come backs. Stand outs were the leadership of Suz, CC being a consistant goal scorer and the emergeance of the wonder boy that is Lane Hutson.

In addition I would like to talk about the steady presence of Carrier. Monty has become quite a solid G as well. Ghule has also taken a step up. He has all the tools to be a real one with many elements in his tool box from defense to grit to offense. Finally the whole third line. Anderson, Gally were eating boards all year, never stopping, relenthless. With Dvorak finally doing good work.

Next year though, the rebuild is over. No Excuses from Hughes. We have seen all the holes. No second line. No real fourth line. Limited grit across the board. Too inexperienced coaching.

From my end it's been a wild season. Over here in the boards, it has been so much fun with all of you guys, with the menes and so forth. And myself going at the Bell Centre for the first time in the fall and buying my first Habs jersey.

Let's Conquer the World next season!

MFers be like :

Tonight

-We need a real 4th line, with fast, heavy hitters, who can cycle the puck and create some scoring chances.

-A #2C and a #2W for Demidov.

-Trade Matheson and replace him.

-A top-4 D, RHD.

Hughes have a lot of work.

We tried, the future is bright.
I hope NYI blows it up. Horvat + Dobson would be perfect for this team

He's going to be around for sure like Byron. They all seem to love the guy.

It was just a matter of time. We can't keep getting away with not having a 2C and having Savard and Matheson.

We can start with Florian Xhekaj-Evans-Heineman for the 4th line.
