Post-Game Talk: Habs lose, eliminated from playoffs.

If we were absolute shit. Then Caps were shit. We were in on most games. A 1st place team vs a Wc2 team should look more dominant. Like the Carolina vs NJ series.
The Devils lost their best player.

The Habs were NOT the better team and the Habs lacked goalscoring, so many of the Caps goals were just textbook good goalscoring, meanwhile we got outshot every game and barely had any chances.

Thompson stole game one where Suzuki went ape-mode but aside from that, it was a nothing burger performance.

It's nice to ponder about a future where Habs players will understand how Demidov works and be ready for a pass at all moments... At first I thought it was just a Newhook thing but in this very game, even Nick got a scoring chance and wasn't ready for it... I could read his mind: "How the F is this puck on my stick right now...?"

GG everyone, now go rest and come back next season bigger, better and stronger with a vengence in mind.

Players I don't want to see no more in the Habs uniform:
  • Savard (too old, washed, thank god he's retiring)
  • Newhook (just bad overall, brings nothing to the table, except speed... stone hands)
  • Armia (too soft, waste of a roster spot)
  • Gallagher (too small and too old)
  • Dvorak (ok veteran, but the Habs already have Evans doing the same thing)
  • Struble (nothing special, the new Jordan Harris, trade bait)
  • Dach (injury prone, can't rely on)
  • Laine (he has to fix his body first, otherwise bye bye)
:teach:
Gallagher can come back anytime.

DAVIDOU SAVARDOU ♥️💙🤍

You wanted Mailloux out there? He would have been burned left and right! Beck I could see, but Mailloux had a tough time even playing in the regular season.

its easy to speculate but we haven't seen Mailloux enough in the NHL to know. Its a different game in the playoffs, Mailloux's physical attributes would have helped the team. Im not expecting Mailloux to be on the top 4, but he could have played some minutes and provide some muscle.

I never said Habs were the better team. I said Caps were better but not by much. Certainly not world beaters.

put all of PP1 in a hyperbaric chamber for the next 4 months.

Armia and Struble have a spot on this team, but that's just me.

Tonight was bad.

But we easily could’ve been up in this series.
