Post-Game Talk: Habs lose, eliminated from playoffs.

Didn't think they'd win this game at all, so not unexpected.

The good news is the ones driving this team are our young players. Hutson, Demidov, Caufield, Slafkovsky, and Suzuki led this team. I'm excited for a full year of Demidov. What a pass to Suzuki for that chance in the slot near the end. Suzuki should have scored on that.

I thought Guhle & Xhekaj played well too. Dobes is fine as a backup. He's a fighter.

I'm fine with letting Dvorak & Armia walk. Hopefully FloJack is ready next year. Kid is big, physical & can PK. He's a better skater than Arber.

I'm also looking forward to Reinbacher making the team. We'll need to replace Savard.

Congratulations on a great career Savy!

Go Habs Go!

The takeaway from this series is that the Habs need a true #2 center and #2 left wing. They also need a #2 right-handed defenseman, and they need to get bigger.

There's plenty of elements in the AHL that should have been tested. They opted for Roy...

I disagree, we have plenty of elements to create something okish and be competitive. Even on the Defensive side, Mailloux could have played, Beck could have been used this series.

We could have split the 1st line and create 2 duos, immediately after the 1st game, we could have Put Demi on the first PP from the start. Laine should have been healthy scratch 2 weeks ago.

The coach simply lacked the courage to take action. This series could have been alot closer.
You wanted Mailloux out there? He would have been burned left and right! Beck I could see, but Mailloux had a tough time even playing in the regular season.

We weren't going to win this series with one line and little to no depth.
Be friggin grateful that the Habs clawed their way into the playoffs. This experience will expedite the rebuild because of all the young guys who experienced it. There is another wave of solid prospects heading to Montreal soon.

Could not be more proud of the kids!

They fought so f***ing hard all year and i cant wait to see them back next year with more experience, more motivation and a big ass chip on their shoulders.. going to be good!

I am also excited to see what magic Hugo comes up with to really put his stamp on this team now that most of the bergevin contracts will be off the books... They have given me no reason to doubt that they will put together a team ready to face their playoff window.

f***, its been a year full of ups and down and im proud to have shared the highs and lows with all you crazy beautiful bastards! ive had fun ... Now lets focus on the draft :D

Anyway, in the end, awesome season. So many positives. So many encouraging things. But...still A LOT of work needs to be done to move from lucky to be there to deserving to be there. 1st line needs help, we can't always rely on them. The D needs help. We need to get bigger bottom 6.

Not the thread or the time for a season review. I will need a few days.

Talking about this game only, it sucked. Small push in the 3rd but overall not a good game.

Our captain was particularly off . He had a disappointing series . I don't think he was playing healthy.

Anyway, this was a fun season. Looking forward to the off season moves.

Great season by the Habs, most of us didn’t believe we would be “in the mix” especially with the way the season started, they managed to make the playoffs. Monster PPG season by Suzuki, marvelous rookie season by Hutson, we even got to see Demidov play a few games with us. Our window is coming! Time to see the Rocket (and Reinbacher and Fowler) get the Calder Cup! Enjoy your retirement Big Play Dave!
Well said!
