Sadly unless you want Hutson to play 50+ minutes per game. We really need for M&M to eat a lot of minutes. The rest of our defense is really not that good.

I think the rest of our D, maybe not Savard, are better than Metheson. What did X do that was so bad tonight to only play 10 minutes? Struble, Hutson, Carrier and Meth were constantly losing the puck and getting walked. The midget needs to go and take his toxicity to another team.

Savard is finished. Kaput. He's absolutely horrendous. My first reflex is to replace Struble when Ghule comes back, but Savard's been really awful aside from blocking a few shots here and there. We won’t win anything with this defense. We got a few Matheson specials tonight again...

Dobes was bad. Guy needs to play regularly. It's night and day vs. the confident guy that came up from the AHL. I love the kid's fight, but he's so erratic in his net.

Evans and the whole 4th line have been useless for the last 5 games. I think Armia's injured. Heineman hasn't been the same since coming back from injury, and Evans has been putrid since 4-Nations.

Dobes belongs in Laval. I would bring Primeau up and send Dobes down...not sure how many recalls they have could be the issue though.

No team serious about being a playoff team can have Matheson as your supposed anchor on defense.

You cant have someone who plays 25 minutes play it so reckless. He is just like a guy like Monty, you cant expect to play him 55 games and get the consistency you need

This team was not serious about making the playoffs. They are still building the team block by block. They wanted to be in the mix. Being in the mix means just fighting for it not making it. They never expected Hutson to be that good and that defense with a normal rookie season by Hutson was not cutting it not even close and they knew it.

I do not understand why they do everything they can to make that obstruction rule so complicated. If an opponent touches the goalie no matter how small it is, the goalie is in the paint, the opponent player is in the paint AND wasn't pushed...IT'S NO GOAL. That would be so simple. The whole ''Well it didn't impede him in his movement, is so f***ed up....

If the goalie is OUT of the paint, you make the goalie as if he's just another player. If you wouldn't punish the contact on a D, you don't punish it on the goalie.

That is why they have few issues with it in IIHF games player in the blue = auto whistle.

A complete joke of a game by Montreal. Everyone was bad, but special mention to Matheson for freely giving the puck to Michkov whenever possible. I know people wanted to draft him, but he's NOT on our team.

Struble struggled with the puck. Savard was useless. Xhekaj barely played. The only good D was Hutson. Poor Carrier saddled with Matheson must be praying Guhle is back tomorrow.

Forwards all sucked. No energy.

Dobes isn't an NHL goalie, at least not yet.

Also, do the Flyers just f***ing hate Cam York? Did he piss in someone's water? Bang the coaches wife? Why dress him then not play him? Torts pretty much did that last game too (3 minutes), but Shaw just didn't bother with him at all. Weird.

I said this last game but enough of Matheson. I give you win now please gtfo. Every game it's something. Multiple somethings. Just enough.

TDL we should have sold even for a bag of pucks. But ok, that's in the past now. So this off-season please sign a center & trade Matheson.

They were handed a bounce back win on a golden platter, but they took a shit all over said platter.

We're 3-3-4 in our last 10. And, now have gone 4 games without a win. We've also given up 16 goals in our last 3 games.

We just lost to the worst team in the NHL over the last month.

I didn't want them backing into the playoffs because all the other teams are terrible too. I wanted them to get in winning games & stepping up.

This isn't stepping up. They're collapsing. Yeah, I'm hugely disappointed with their game right now. It's back to early season levels.

This team is complacent when they're not desperate. Whether they're up in score or in the standings, they get soft and complacent. They have to be behind to have any sense of urgency.

One thing I don't like about MSL's coaching is that he has trouble disassociating himself from MSL-the player. He thinks every player is like him. Not every player is as competitive or fiery. Sometimes, you need to lash out and wake players up. He doesn't do it because as a player, he hated when the coach did that... but it has its time and place, and it works with players that need to wake the F up. Don't do it all the time, but you have to do it sometimes

Since he signed his extension, Evans probably played only 1 good game. Tonight he was horrendous in the faceoff department with 31%. I think he lost 3 if not 4 in a row on the same pk. This line generates nothing. Heineman still hits and skates well but he still as not scored since his return. If Armia is too injured to even shoot he should sit.

...too reliant on too few players, who are running out of juice...too reliant on a coach who can't prepare the team like he prepared himself as a player...we're not ready, unfortunately...on the right path, but not there yet...

...the ONLY one's he sits are Jackeye and Struble...Methhead can give the puck away 20 times a night and he gets nothing but praise from Marty...FatAss hasn't been an NHL defenseman in almost two years now and he still waddles his Grimace arse out there without fear of being sat...Marty is the first one who needs to go, imo...
