Streit seems to be the most likely target -- former Hab, no term, doesn't have to be protected in the expansion draft, likely available for a reasonable price, etc.

Scott's got obvious ties to the organization. Maybe he's in town visiting family and friends before the holidays?

They don't play them until February.

Hummmmm.

Don't think Ass. GM is taking time off at this time of the year.

Too soon for Holidays visits and game scouting.

I have a feeling is for B. Schenn as Mtl still needs a 2nd line lw with grit.

Just speculating here. Don't know if he is at all available or on the trade block.

He would be an upgrade on Pateryn.

You just said habs aren't interested in Streit as he is Right D. You proposed Schultz because he is lefty but yet, you would put him on the right side instead of pateryn...

Dure à suivre mon chum.

Schenn+ for Pacorietty. It's the kind way to give the captaincy to Weber.

He's definitely more available than anyone else in our top 6, i.e. Giroux, Simmonds, Konecny, Couturier and Voracek.

Right defenseman.

Habs would prefer a left D. Nick Schultz ?

Streit if a left handed shot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's playing right mostly due to the absence of other RHD in philly.

If i remember correctly, he played the left side in NY and in MTL

You would probably have to add one of your good prospects to Schenn in order to get pacioretty.

You are right, he is a lefty.

So Desharnais for Streit ? :sarcasm:

The consensus seems to be a 2nd and a minor add at the deadline. He won't get a first, but he's better than the D that have recently gotten a 2. Salary could of course go back as long as there is no term.

You guys are set on left day short and long term.

Habs are set on the right side.

How about swapping D prospects also.

Schenn + Streit + Sanheim

vs

Pacioretty + Desharnais + Juulsen

If Hagg qualifies as good then sure. Schenn is three years younger and signed for an extra year, so the Flyers aren't going to add a blue chipper to him.

As a Flyers fan, I would be ok with this if you switch Sanheim for Hagg. Or just take the D prospects out of it. Pacioretty would be a nice "have" on Giroux's LW.
