Saw a bried recap on the tv news and their main takeaway was that Molson isnt willing to say he wants to be in the playoffs yet but he wants to be in the hunt

This whole fear of using the word playoffs for fear it would be considered a failure if they miss is silly.
I liked Suzuki's answer on it. Screw managing fan expectations, I want players/management who want to win.

Was improving within the division mentioned today?
They have to be aware that they only won one of the last seventeen games they played last season within the division (1-10-6). They beat Buffalo on December 9th in a shootout 3-2 and didn't win in the division again until April against Florida. They lost the season series against 6 of the 7 other teams and split with Buffalo.
They competed against the rest of the league (25-23-8) but they need to improve dramatically within the division if they do want to move up in the standings.
