I've got two things to say.

1) Five games in eight days at the end of the season, with a playoff spot on the line. This is unbelievable.
2) I have to ask for forgiveness. At the beginning of the year and for a big part of this season, I didn't see what many saw in Lane Hutson. However, for the past month or so, the light finally went on, the elevator went to the top floor, I'm playing with a full deck. I had my epiphany on the way to Damascus - uh, the Bell Center. Forgive me, Lane.

I've been so busy this year that I've been box-score following more than actually watching games. I always watch 100% of playoffs no matter what - but it seems like I'm missing out a lot.

A rollercoaster season. Haven’t seen one like it. Moments where they looked like the worst team in the NHL and then the week after like the best team.

It kind of reminds me of the season where Theodore won the Hart, when Saku was out due to his cancer. On paper that team had no business sneaking into the playoffs, Yanic Perreault was their top scorer. And then a late season addition of Saku got everyone excited (like Demidov).

Interesting part is most of the team has lot of playoff experience already.

Suzuki/CC/Andy/Gally/Armia/Evans*/Savard** made the final in 2021.
Newhook was part of the Avs team that won the cup but only played 12 games.

Laine went far once.
Matheson and Carrier never got out of the 1st round.
Dvorak will have his 2nd playoffs experience.

If he doesn't play, Wilson will run everywhere trying to punch every player. Struble can try to fight him but I prefer Xhekaj vs Wilson. After one fight Wilson will stay calm. We need the X factor!

We seem to have a team that can respond positively to a good play when we are down.

Sweeping ontario next would be extra sweet but gotta be realistic... likely at least one loss. Just hoping Xhekaj plays cause both teams need some deterrent. And Stutzle really needs someone to paste him against the boards.

Oh, and we just eliminated Buffalo from playoff competition. This is fun. We eliminated Boston, Philadelphia & Pittsburgh on the weekend, and now Buffalo is officially done for the year.

It will be fun watching teams take themselves out of it heading into the weekend.
I said End It at the end of a post in the GDT for a reason.
Four teams chasing us with an easier path 3 pts. to 13th and 14th than the 8 pts. needed for WC2.
There will be jockeying for position but all on the downside.
