Out shot them 10-4 in 3rd, and they got a PP & a 6 on 5 empty net situation. It was 17-13 from 2nd period on. Detroit was playing absolutely desperate hockey in 1st period, but couldn't keep that pace up.

Fantastic 3rd period by Montreal. They stepped it up like they've been doing lately. It's a little bit too rope a dope, but you do what you have to do when you're tired.

Great game by Montembeault, so strong & steady. He's so much better when he's rested. Congratulations on your 30th win, Montembeault. You f***ing earned that.

Great game by Hutson, Guhle & Carrier. Matheson stepped up again after his atrocious mistake again. Savard is oh boy .... yeesh. He doesn't play a lot though and can still PK. Struble struggled with the puck a bit tonight. Boys on D gutted this one out.

Slafkovsky was winning board battles from 2nd period on. Hopefully Caufield gets to 40 goals. He's 3 away, and that Suzuki gets to 30 goals (2 away) and 90 points (4 away!).

What a beautiful day. And to top it all off, Demidov might be playing by the weekend.

Beating the Red Wings is good but the out of town scoreboard is good too. Canes, Devils, Leafs & Sens all lose so a great night all round.

Demidov on the ice this weekend, hoping for at least one win. What the hell, make it both. Les boys end strong with over 90 points. Suck it Vegas (the oddsmakers not the team).
