Dobes, really showed he is human after all tonight. In saying that, I really didn't think he played a bad game. He made a few really clutch saves when we needed them.
I freaking hate Ottawa and Columbus! Lol
He's a top 6 player and still developing. For you to say he's "not talented enough" is ridiculous. It feels like you made your mind up about him a long time ago and now he's the whipping boy.
He will need to work on his pace, which really is a conditioning issue probably due to his lengthy departureLaine has some issues in his transition game but he just scored so much. He just scores and scores. Amazing
I think he definitely had some nerves playing at home. I think he'll do better with exposure. His body language after goals against looked different than when he allowed anything on the road. You wanna keep the crowd happy at home, can only imagine the pressure.Dobes, really showed he is human after all tonight. In saying that, I really didn't think he played a bad game. The fact that they play DMX when Xhekaj fights is too gangsta, glad you got to enjoy that live.I was at the game in section 121. First game in 2 years. I couldn't remember how loud the Bell Centre can be. Amazing atmosphere, insane game: Xhekaj vs Rempe fight, Slaf and Suzuki scoring, Lane Hutson assist and he was everywhere on the ice, and the Laine OT win to put the cherry on the sundae. We definitely have the loudest, most electrifying rink in the NHL. It was an amazing night for hockey in Montreal tonight!
He really didn't have a choice. Rempe was on him, and hitting him before Xhekaj had his gloves off. My only worry was he was gonna break his hand. Slamming it against that big dumbass's visor.Fighting Rempe is dumb. You want him on the ice showing why he shouldn’t be in the nhl, not in the penalty box opposite someone you want playing for you.
Are you referring to the hit into the end boards? Yeah, that was questionable. And Anderson almost getting a penalty….
Again, I just ignore the noise.he’s the board scapegoat right now, but shoutout to Newhook who played an insane game.
I'm 5'7, so I'd start with upper cuts to the groin area. Followed by biting the back of Rempe's ankle.Rempe jumped Xhekaj and started punching him before Arber could get his gloves off. You tell me what you would do if someone started punching you?
Not to mention Arber won that fight quite handedly. Had him go down on his knees from a few punches and then won with the takedown.
And in the end, Rempe got the extra 2.
So far from dumb. In fact very smart to let Rempe start it and get the PP out of it.
Agreed, add in that he's coming back from the flu? Or whatever ever illness that caused him to miss a few games recently. He will need to work on his pace, which really is a conditioning issue probably due to his lengthy departure
In the tying goal, Caufield received the puck from Hutson right in the slot. He saw Quick cheated and moved to one side. He knew he couldn't beat Quick with his shot and the best option is to make a pass to Slaf coming from the other side for an empty net shot. Caufield is no longer uni dimensional shooter. He is a complete player now.Honestly didn't think Caufield had it in him to take his game to this level. Making me eat my words

Something that caught my attention, are there more opposing team fans at the BC than usual lately? Yesterday it was packed with Laughs fans then a lot of Rags fans tonight. Maybe I'm just tripping and it was always like this.
He is well on his way to averaging 20+ goals, like Anderson did in his career, that's a second line player. Just because you say that nonsense doesn't make it true. I've seen him go end to end and score but im sure in your mind any average player can do that at any time.He is not a top-six player. He's a quick player with a powerful shot that lacks accuracy. His decision-making skills are ordinary, and his passing ability is poor. He's not very good in his own zone. I'm writing, and it's as if I'm describing Josh Anderson without the physicality.
He's almost 24 years old, he may gain experience but won't metamorphose into a different player.
Newhook is on pace for 20pts this season. Hopefully he gets out of whatever funk he’s in but it’s a results-based thing, this is competitive professional sport, and he’s not delivered the expected goods this season. It’ll take time to convince others that one game undoes ten bad ones.He is well on his way to averaging 20+ goals, like Anderson did in his career, that's a second line player. Lehk couldn't finish when he played with us either. I feel like we need to be patient with Newhook.Newhook has the finish of oleg petrov this year. I'm hoping the floodgates open at some point because it's not for a lack of chances.
