It's only hockey, you will be fine, no need to be upset about messages.
Cool man, you do you. Like I said, sad existence.

Lyon: 2.73GAA .900% .571 quality starts, +1 goal saved above average
Talbot: 3.07GAA .901% .565 quality starts, -0.2 goal saved above average
Montembault: 2.97GAA .897% .500 quality starts, -3.7 goals saved above average
Sam would literally be a downgrade on both wings goalies. No, they wouldn't kill for him.
And probably still end up with an extra penaltyHe got jumped, you just want him to sit there and eat punches to the face the whole time?
I'd say you're correctDon’t throw rocks at me saying this, but I don’t think DOBES had a bad game at all. Sure they scored 4 goals, but look at each goal and ask yourself, was he primarily at fault?
Goal 1…..bad bounce off back boards back in front of the net.
Goal 2….AX made a bad pass that allowed the Ranger player to walk in and get off a good shot.
Goal 3…..Kreider with a great screen that allowed the shot to find net.
Goal 4…..Kreider gets a pass right in front of Dobes with no d help at all. Kreider all alone, untouched.
I admit, I have a man crush on DOBES, but other than goal 3 with the screen, the other 3 can not be put on him. Therefore, I consider this another great game, or if you can’t agree with that adjective, would you agree with “good”? And don’t forget, he blanked the Rangers in the 3rd allowing us to tie the game and then especially in OT….we all saw those two saves.
So what do you say?
The last Dobes stop in OT was Drydenesque circa 1971.I told the Chicken Little, “sky is falling” crowd earlier after the first period, this team is outplaying and out working the Rangers, and they’d be fine.
If it hadn’t been for Jonathan Quick, dialing it back 15 years, the Habs would have won by 4-5 goals. He made a number of terrific saves on quality chances. Both teams played it pretty tight for the point, in the later stages of the third but overall Montreal dominated and deserved to win this game.
Credit to Jakub Dobes who has been nothing short of sensational in limited time with the big club. Those two saves in overtime, reminded me of a dialled in Patrick Roy. Unflappable and standing tall when we needed it the most.
Beautiful goal by Laine as well to finish the game, off a sweet dish from Guhle. What made it even sweeter, was it gave me my parlay ticket for 500 bucks on the game!
Some great hockey, big hits, nice goals, our rookie defenseman keeps putting up points, a terrific heavyweight tilt (and win) and the Habs bounce back after a tough loss to the Leaf Blowers. Solid Sunday night!!
Ghule is on another level lately. What a player
I've seen him stuff this play more than once in Laval with his athleticism. It's actually one of his best attributes.Goal 4…..Kreider gets a pass right in front of Dobes with no d help at all. Kreider all alone, untouched.
There are still in prey mode, predator mode is the next step.Recently, it seems that Habs have won a lot of games when the opponent scores first, or when we trail going to the 3rd period.
I thought maybe he just got nervous to perform finally in front of our home crowd. Then he finally settled in in the 3rd.Don’t throw rocks at me saying this, but I don’t think DOBES had a bad game at all. Sure they scored 4 goals, but look at each goal and ask yourself, was he primarily at fault?

Was watching the Slaf goal on the TV at work (with no audio) and though Slaf injured his neck/spine here lol
3-0 is the most dangerous lead for Montreal. Seen it disappear too many times before, not just last night.Recently, it seems that Habs have won a lot of games when the opponent scores first, or when we trail going to the 3rd period.
Why he was playing at this level at the end of last season. It's incredible what he was able to accomplish last year while still not 100% with his release/one timer. Caufield adapted and played a completely different game and now it's paying huge dividends. No one cares if he score or not as long as his line is winning the head to head battles and the plays he's making is allowing them to do exactly that.Honestly didn't think Caufield had it in him to take his game to this level. Making me eat my words
There we go.Was watching the Slaf goal on the TV at work (with no audio) and though Slaf injured his neck/spine here lol
Lyon and Talbot are garbage. Can't compare them because Monty played in front of terrible team defense for 30 games.Lyon: 2.73GAA .900% .571 quality starts, +1 goal saved above average
Talbot: 3.07GAA .901% .565 quality starts, -0.2 goal saved above average
Montembault: 2.97GAA .897% .500 quality starts, -3.7 goals saved above average
Even more damning for Monty
High danger scoring chances at even strength.
Lyon: .909
Talbot: .902
Montembault: .854

Fighting Rempe is dumb. You want him on the ice showing why he shouldn’t be in the nhl, not in the penalty box opposite someone you want playing for you.

He's a top 6 player and still developing. For you to say he's "not talented enough" is ridiculous. It feels like you made your mind up about him a long time ago and now he's the whipping boy.I did, he played well, but he's a limited player.
