Things that turned the season around:

Dec. 3rd: Laine returns to the line-up. (15-6-1 record since his return)
Dec. 18th: Carrier is acquired. (11-3-1 record since his acquisition)
Dec. 27th: Dobes called up. (9-2-1 record since his call up. 5 wins in 5 starts for him).
Looking at those numbers each of those steps made us better than before and built on each other.

So freaking relieved when Anderson came back out.

OMG they won! 🧐
I had to stop watching after the 1st.

Color me surprised, this game was just rigged for a Ranger win with:
- the mini-celebration at the start (Habs always lose those games at home)
- the team forgetting to play defense for a 2nd game in a row
- 3 local Refs
- Quick looking like Prime Quick every time he plays the Habs

As a note, Gallagher and Dvorak were so told they were getting waived if they played again like they did Saturday against the Leafs. :sarcasm:

That's what I'm f***ing talking about!!!

Great comeback game, as the never quit kids just shake off getting bullshit of last night. They fought hard and came back 4 times to beat the Rangers and the reffs tonight (holy f*** what was with the refs tonight?!). We bent, but we just wouldn't break... it was exciting hockey to say the least!

Laine with the game winner in ot!
Slaf with a huge goal!
big dick nick doing his thing!
and LANE f***UBG HUTSON continues his point streak, and further running away with the Calder lead!!!!

...and God damn, DOBES! he faced some bad bounces early... but fought to keep us in it, and shut the door when it really mattered most... huge!

this is the kind of game you wanna see after one like last night... its how a winning team responds... and it makes damn happy to watch our boys blossom into this kind of team right before our eyes!

Go Habs Go!

Was it really that bad though? He got some shots off that were close, and his line didn't give up any goals. He also played the highest minutes behind Suzuki in a back-to-back game.

He absolutely wasn't bad, I'm not sure where that narrative is coming from.

He had a couple of narrow miss shots as well and easily could have been on the board before the OT goal. He also made a few nifty passes in the third period as well.

I told the Chicken Little, “sky is falling” crowd earlier after the first period, this team is outplaying and out working the Rangers, and they’d be fine.

If it hadn’t been for Jonathan Quick, dialing it back 15 years, the Habs would have won by 4-5 goals. He made a number of terrific saves on quality chances. Both teams played it pretty tight for the point, in the later stages of the third but overall Montreal dominated and deserved to win this game.

Credit to Jakub Dobes who has been nothing short of sensational in limited time with the big club. Those two saves in overtime, reminded me of a dialled in Patrick Roy. Unflappable and standing tall when we needed it the most.

Beautiful goal by Laine as well to finish the game, off a sweet dish from Guhle. What made it even sweeter, was it gave me my parlay ticket for 500 bucks on the game!

Some great hockey, big hits, nice goals, our rookie defenseman keeps putting up points, a terrific heavyweight tilt (and win) and the Habs bounce back after a tough loss to the Leaf Blowers. Solid Sunday night!!

I hope you call him Lane, or Laine, or Layne to be slightly different.
Lol. All our kids have unique names, we went with Cillian for this one. I already have one son named after a sports figure (Payne Stewart) and she said no more athletes after that one. Granted, she also said no more kids after that one, and we all know how that turned out....

Well, it was a long ass drive home from MTL today after (unfortunately) witnessing last night's game and listening to a belligerent Leafs fan yell "CHINA WALL!!!!!!!" after every single Woll save.

Got home in time to watch this one and was not disappointed. Boys could have easily folded after the first couple of goals, one off a horrible bounce and another off of a bad mistake. They kept with it the whole way and found a way, even after Quick had a hell of a game.

Character game

Not a steady from Dobes but unlike Monty made the biggest saves when needed. Not the big save when you are down 5-3

Slafs best game this yr. Had some poor touches but overall, using size, going to net, physical. Its exactly how he needs to play. People need to realize it wont be pretty what he does that will make him a great player. He will never be the flash like some just associate as a great player

I really enjoyed anyone but Pez out there tho Beck was not noticeable

Dodged a bullet the Anderson wasnt hurt
