So if Matheson is injured, Lindstrom draws back in? I mean I barely noticed him so I think this mean he wasn't all that terrible. I'd still sit Harris. Man he's bad.

Where's my old friend Jeffrey Steele? Habs beat a team that was in the playoffs last season. Do you feel better?

With this win the Habs move into 5th place overall in the league.

Guhle, Reinbacher, and Matheson as soon as next year! (Hope Matheson can get healthy).

Matheson Kovacevic
Guhle Reinbacher
Xhekaj Barron
Harris, Norlinder

Laval:
Struble - Mailloux
Hutson - Engstrom
Trudeau - Lindstrom
The more he plays, the more I find Kovacevic to be reliably good. Not astounding but just solid good and even keel, oh, and big boy which add to his efficency. He must be hard af to push around. What a pick-up from the wire! Nice one Kent.

Marty would have done himself a favor if he bumped Armia to the first line. Gotta learn how to capitalize on the 7% of the time he plays his "A" game. :D
That was so good for his trade value, he did play good tonight.

Something needs to change for him. I don’t understand the stubbornness around not sending him to AHL.
It’s easier to pretend everything they do is part of their plans then to admit they made a mistake right from the start with the first 1OV pick we’ve had in 40 years. We’ve seen how stubborn past management teams have been at admitting they were wrong.

I don't think moving him to AHL equates admitting a mistake. It's simply admitting that his development needs to take a different path. He is 19. NExt couple of years will likely determine whether Slaf is a mistake or not. I mean, he will never be Bedard but let's hope he will develop into a decent middle tier player and f***... learns to use his size.
