The bruins got blasted the night before against Florida. They were hungry.

Meanwhile the habs were traveling on the back to back and playing their backup after a win in the first game.

You could see the result coming from a mile away.
Boston's recent dominance over us has revolved around playing keep away in our end and tiring us out by the end. But while that element was still evident in the last game, I felt there were two improvements. One, we are bigger than before and there were good moments of neutralizing the bruins size and getting the puck back. And two, when we did have the puck we were able to actually make plays and put 4 past swayman. The habs of last year would've lost 6-1.

To me it's clear the talent is there, but experience is still needed aka everything is going to plan

Malkin was at 48% last year.

Kirby Dach was 38% 2 seasons ago.

He needs to MASSIVELY improve if he wants to be a centre.

To be fair to Dach, Dvorak hasn't been the best this season, but he's usually over 50%
Exactly, Malkin was 37yrs old last season, Dach was 21 two seasons ago.
He’s got plenty of time ahead of him to get better.

These were Malkin’s numbers his first five seasons;

So it's hardly an insurmountable task.

If there is something that can be taught, it's faceoffs. Not worried about that.

Kapanen and Beck will lead the way. Dvorak could help Kirby as well before we jetson him to the moon.

Dvorak has been crap at faceoffs so far this season. Kirby should go ask Suzuki for tips, he's been great.

Yeah but you have more room for forgiveness given Malkin's talent compared to what Dach has.

Would love for him, or the Habs to get in a specialist for him, like possibly Perreault if he's available. In exchange the Habs will let Jacob play a game at the end of the year.
