Given his work ethic, I have a hard time thinking he'd let himself go. I think it was more a case of injuries and the impact of the history of them on his style of play. He was never fast, but he was visibly labouring for the bulk of last year.

Actually last year I went back 10 games for Primeau and I kid you not, he alternated between great games and stinkers. Star, bum, star , bum....it was bizarre in his consistency.

The team also had those qualities last year

Dach has taken 8 faceoffs in 3 games. Not exactly a great sample size statistically. Newhook is taking most of the 2nd line faceoffs.
Even Kapanen has taken more faceoffs than Dach.
