Slaf needs to do that every game
Not realistic. That’s like asking Caufield to score every game, or Montembault to shutdown the opposing team every game, or Hutson to always be on the scoreboard.

He will have high and lows but if he can constantly apply himself and play a physical game while being a 60/70 point player he will be a difference maker (maybe that’s what you meant).

When slafkovsky gets involved he's hard to stop from getting chances. Glad he scored tonight. He's a smart player but he has to recognize that he's capable of bulldozing his way through a shift in a way most can't.

I don't know if we can expect this every shift every game but he needs to understand how being physical at the right time is also a use of hockey IQ. I think slaf often overthinks things but I find once he's engaged he plays with more "flow" and makes him more decisive and assertive.

Slafkovsky was a beast! Nice fight.

Montembeault wasn't great on the 2 goals, but played well after that & shut it down.

Xhekaj was getting into Stutzle's face all game. Loved it.

Something is up with Suzuki. No way he is this slow. That breakaway he was insanely slow. Earlier this season, he doesn't get caught.

Ottawa drops to WC2 and are holding onto a playoff spot by the skin of their teeth. They're tied in points with 9th place Columbus, but have more RWs.

Montreal is 5 pts back.

Laine scores, Habs win.
I did not watch you game but according stats Laine was terrible in 5v5. And I think he will be not good to the end of the season. So much injuries and mental problems have their consequences. His little time was because of it.

He never was a speed merchant tho (Suzuki). Don’t know how his weight affect his game but 207 for a 5’11 is quite heavy for a hockey player. Maybe he could get faster but he does have a heavy shot and tough to move.

Feel good win. But mon chien est mort for playoffs.

I really liked Slaf's game tonight. Probably our best player with Xhekaj but I don't want him to fight...

Good game by Struble too.
Armia was doing Armia things tonight.

Struble played left-side & looked much better. He had a good physical game. The D all played between 17-23 minutes. They rolled them.

They were tough in front of the net, which I liked.

Yeah, not a speedster, but he could get a good burst of speed going. He seems to have lost that burst, but he's slow right now all over the ice.
