Post-Game Talk: Habs defeat les Sénateurs d'Ottawa

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

No argument, but currently, as far as playing defense, Struble is outplaying Arbs. And I am the biggest Xhekaj fanboy. Maybe he needs a different partner. I mean, Savard, besides eating pucks on PK, isn't being very good. But for now, St Louis has to go with what works. We have to keep on that WC2 spot. I want hockey in later April, FFS!
A partner like Carrier would benefit X so much... maybe when Rein takes 2nd pair right Carrier takes that spot and there we have our PO winning 3rd pair...

The reds in this photo are so crisp. I re

Heineman looks photoshopped in.
I am glad a couple of people have made comments such as this. That photo is a terrific shot because it captures a great moment. However, I think taking an action shot with that many people in movement and straightening it so much by software editing makes it look less realistic. (Just my opinion as a longtime amateur photographer.)

I just love what Wifi brings to our team more. He instills fear. Who would want to mess with Caufield, Hutson (or Demidov next year) when you have a Mike Tyson ready to beat down on anyone? Remember when that Leafs player injured Laine? Wifi didn't even get suspended, lol.

I like Struble too but I feel like he will get the Jordan Harris treatment this summer.

I thought the best thing he's done this season is learn how to kill penalties. He was never a PK'er since he came here.
He was a PK'er and a defensive stalwart before he came here. That was what he was noted for. His goal scoring came off the back off that with his straight line speed.
Like a number of players under Bergevin's watch he was miscast.

Don't disagree. Would be bummer to lose Strubs though. He has come a looong way and is playing excellent hockey now. Again, we don't know what will happen with Savard and possibly Matheson. I think Habs resign the Great MM, but they'll probably lose Savard. RB and Mallioux are still iffy to me so who knows... maybe current D core will stay mostly intact.

And yes, I hope Arbs is an integral part of the D corps for year and years to come.
