Post-Game Talk: Habs defeat les Sénateurs d'Ottawa

I like how Nick look pissed off in his locker room interview. He knows he did not play his best hockey and he knows that it's far from over and that there is a lot of hard work to do before getting into the playoffs.

This guy is a true humble winner. He totally is our captain. He wants nothing short of excellence and long term success

Man how arrogant are Sens fans to claim that this is our cup when they haven't even sniffed the playoffs in nearly a decade

I just found out where the highest concentration of sodium happens to be located in Canada.

It's right here:

I think the soccer fans in the Bell Centre scared them with all the random noise they make, even when nothing significant is happening.

Lowest hockey IQ fans in the league without question.

At one point they actually got excited when the first empty net attempt missed and then bounced back off the end boards towards the net. Had to laugh.

He has a lot of haters because of his contract.

However, he hasn't prevented any acquisition. He's been a beast in the playoffs. He's clearly a leader on the team and has put the beating on some heavyweights in this league (Olivier and Wilson). He's adapted his game to fit a role and has been one of the best third liners in the league - bar none. There aren't many players like him in the league. Also, he clearly appreciates the Montreal crowd.
I personally think he's been mostly shit since he's come here. I think I was likely one of the loudest on the forum about him.

But even though he's still nowhere near worth his contract, he's finally bought in and just plays hard every shift. He's finally realized he's not some elite power forward who can skate fast and not really care. Even his hockey sense, which may have been the worst in the NHL, has improved. He's really a quality bottom 6 player who can chip in offensively when he's not relied on for it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I would have zero issue keeping him at a lower salary if he keeps playing this way.
