Habs beat the Avs

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Why?
He's under contract for two more years.
He's about to represent Team Canada in a tournament.

Guy has nothing to worry about. If Montreal decides to bench him repeatedly for Dobes, he'll just request a trade - and trust me, there's a bunch of takers.
I don't know what's in the water some folks are drinking here. Some see Monty like the goalie who was claimed, like the first year he was with us. They just don't see how he improved and the confidence he have now, and his technique. It's sure there would be takers, sure !

You were one of the rare few in this case because the narrative for the longest of times was that he was a offensive black hole.

Justin Barron career is not done. I think he will have a solid career. If anything it was a good gamble. It will always be when you trade a established player for a prospect.
I think you're wrong because Justin Barron, while offensively gifted, lacks in to many key areas to be effective long term. I fell for players like him before. He's a worse version of Yannick Weber. But I guess we'll see down the road!

We are on unparalleled levels of the mix right now.

Ew! I'm happy that the Habs are closing in on their season objective, but being in the mix for too long certainly must have an effect on your long-term smell cells. All of the teams on this list STINK (TBL included, they have Kuch)

Disagree. The team is completely different since his acquisition. They needed someone steady and to have a reliable pairing to counter the Matheson/Hutson pairing. Great trade and a very good player.
It's hard for some to realize what an individual can do for the collective when put in the right situation.
While I'm surprised the effect has turned out to be as dramatic as it is I definitely expected a far better balanced back end.

Great win, great effort. Great post game thread, lots of positivity. Love it.

Game thread, not so much. Many bitches that complain all. The. f***ing. Time. As soon as they trail, man ça devient lourd. Spoiler alert: une game de hockey, c’est au moins trois périodes.

Young team will have lulls. Right now, the kids are proving that they cannot be considered beaten.

Keep it up, Les petits bébés Tricolores. Future looks sooooooo bright. And to think that our superstar player is not with the crew yet…I need shades.
