It 'used' to be, now downtown is full of homeless drugged out zombies, but it will get better one day when this corrupt gov't is gone

I spent most of my time uptown and usually strayed away from downtown as it was bad at the time too. Halifax isn’t much better

I never understood the point of keeping helmets on during a fight. You're just punching helmet and risking a broken hand. Should be helmets off.

The reason is that if you clock a guy he will fall to ice unconscious and hit his head very badly. It’s super dangerous. Yeah I get the broken hands on helmets thing. Bugs me too. But better broken Hand than cracked skull
