From where we were coming from going into this game, that was in contrast a masterpiece lol.

Everyone that we wanted to see step up more or less did, Dach, Newhook, Suzuki, Hutson, Monty. I thought the boys were commited to their D all game despite the hiccups, feels good to get that one.

Add in Xhekaj. He had the 4th highest TOI on D and was just less than a minute under Savard. He needed this game badly.

Yes. That's why I'd keep him. He's one of the rare vet that cares, is homegrown and does well. I guess it depends how well Beck and Flo develop, and even then, all three can play wing.

Exactly. Can always move him to wing if Kapanen, Beck, and Florian are more comfortable at centre.

Well, the Canadiens played tonight like they spent the last three days listening to Habs fans have a collective melt down over their recent play.

Outstanding games by Hutson & Evans in particular.

The vets stepped up in this one, including Savard, Gallagher, Dvorak & Anderson.

Xhekaj played well.

Mailloux isn't ready for this level & I don't believe played in 3rd period. We should send him down & recall Lindstrom.

Montembeault was steady in net.

Let's get another win tomorrow in Philadelphia!

Remember that play around our net when a Blues player wanted to go after a shoving match with Xhekaj ? Arber just let it slide which is what he needed to do. That would have been fighting for the sake if fighting
