If Barron get injured Mailloux got a fairly decent shot at being called up. if it's Savard/Guhle, it's more likely to be Lindstrom.

Don't hate it. Not an NHLer regular but good injury filler. I'd rather not yoyo guys like Mailloux or if we need a seventh due to injuries to do press box duties I'd prefer Lindstrom.

It has alot to do with Mailloux, the last thing management wants to do is call up Mailloux every time a D gets hurt. No one else is remotely ready and Lindstrom is the perfect #7.

Their argument was that the Habs signed Lindstrom because they do not think much of Barron/Mailloux.

I do agree Lindstrom will be the one called up to eat hot dogs if needed.
