Schroeder being included a day after seriously comparing the trade deadline to slavery, and being traded to Utah aka the whitest area in the league is pure gold

I don't know if I can cheer for GS. When they were running on all cylinders they were fun to watch but this trade doesn't do much for them. They may get in, even win a round but all in all this is meh.

So it ended up being a 4 team trade:

to Golden State:Jimmy Butler ( from Miami )

to Miami: Andrew Wiggins( from Golden State ), P.J. Tucker ( from Utah ), Kyle Anderson ( from Golden State ) and Golden State's 2025 1st round pick ( top 10 protected, if not used in 2025 then becomes top 10 protected in 2026 and if not used in 2026 then becomes unprotected in 2027 )

to Detroit: Lindy Walters ( from Golden State ), Josh Richardson ( from Miami ) and a future 2nd round pick from Golden State

to Utah: Dennis Schroder ( from Golden State ) and a 2031 2nd round pick ( better pick of Miami or Indiana )

This almost turned into a 5 team trade as Anderson was supposed to end up in Toronto but that part of the deal fell through:

Not bad for Miami. Had to get out of that disastrous situation and came out okay. Wiggins is a good player and can slide right into the starting lineup as a 3&D wing. They also get a first round pick that'll likely convey this year.

I had gotten my hopes up for them pulling off a KD deal so that sucks but probably better for them in the long run. They weren't winning with KD anyways and would've probably had to throw young players and picks in that deal.

I see why GS did this as Jimmy can raise their ceiling but that's a lot of risk, even more so if he really didn't want to go there. The on court fit is a little weird too as he's a non-shooter just like Draymond and Kuminga. It'll be interesting to see how he gels with that team and Kerr.

The Jimmy-Miami run was fun as hell despite how it ended.
