denton mateychuk/dylan gambrell/cole sillinger are the only prospects i see that would interest vancouver if there was a potential hoglander deal. left shot dman, right handed center and lw/c

I remember being sick a bunch in like Grade 8 and watching a terrible soap opera called Sunset Beach. That’s my only exposure to soap operas. Have to give them credit for the sheer amount of shock and awe they try to cram into every single episode.
Try Indian dramas you will think soaps are lame after watching those haha. They are way over the top heck if anyone has problems watch a week and you will think your life is great !!

Vancouver
id try real hard to extract a 2nd rounder from Hoglander if possible and flip it later or something.

I really want us to go after Sanheim but they’re in a wild card spot right now lmfao.

He is not going anywhere. All his friends are on this team.Im calling bs on this.
Probably true. Miller has a full no-trade, no movement clause in his contract. And I can't conceive of a scenario where the Canucks would ask him to waive it.

The problem is, this is the Vancouver market. And the more games he misses, and the more the Rangers plummet into their current sink-hole, the more the speculation is bound to increase.

Watched that last couple of periods of that Rangers-Devils game tonight. The blues-shirts looked as dead and lifeless as the Canucks at any point in the Green-Benning era. This thing is, they're not used to this kind of mediocrity at MSG. Something has to give, and Laviolette sounds like a guy totally out of answers.

I think the Rangers imploding would preclude any trade to New York. The guy lived through the Jim Benning years, if he was really looking for a trade I don't think he's eying up shit shows.

Sillinger is interesting as he would upgrade our centre position but not sure Columbus wants to move him for Höglander.

Olivier would be a decent add but not for Höglander imho maybe in a package deal Sillinger + Olivier for Höglander +?

Only way Miller moves is if the above trade happened & Ottawa wanted to trade Brady for him 1 for 1. Miller wouid also have to want to play in Ottawa. Rangers really don't have much to offer for a 90-100pt player on a good contract

Well we couldn't get a deal done with the Rangers for Miller last time around. Even if parties are willing I'm not sure there's a deal we want. This team isn't going anywhere losing Miller and adding say K-Miller/Schneider +. Our depth down the middle doesn't include replacing Petey or Miller and still contend. I liked LAF before he broke out and still do but he's more Boeser's replacement than Miller's. The Rangers actually have Cs to trade us but I'm not interested (with the possible exception of Chytil but his concussion history scares me).

If we are to trade Miller to New York our best bet is acquire Miller/Schneider + and go from there (I think Kakko would be a good fit under Tocchet and can break out).

Going to go out on a limb and guess Miller would not want to play in Ottawa. Or any other Canadian market.

it's just odd that the Rangers would ask about JT Miller. It seems that some of the current panic around the Rangers is in part due to Zibanejad seemingly entering the decline of his career. So to shore up the team, they.....will trade for JT Miller, who is basically the same age and on the same contract as Zib's contract? Feels like a risky move on their part to me!

If they would like to offer something outrageously good that makes us listen....well that would be even more nonsensical on their part!

The Rags need to win the cup, they've been extremely close for a while and haven't been able to take the next step. Who cares what happens after that.

Would people now do Filip Chytil, Braden Schneider and a 1st for Miller?

I hate speculating on the Miller shit. Unfortunately he plays in a hot market. When there are unanswered questions people will speculate. Exactly why smart man Demko did a media session himself and didn't leave anything for interpretation.

We know Miller isn't enrolled in the players assistance program. Beyond that, we don't know anything. He had a preseason injury, missed the preseason and hasn't been healthy all year. These athletes not playing to their full potential can likely drive them a bit crazy.

I imagine when Miller is back he will shed some light or tell everyone it was private.

There have been several reports now of Miller having issues with teammates.

-Miller butting heads with EP (Biznasty)
-Miller possibly crossing the line with coach (Strickland)

This paired with the NYR asking about Miller's availability. Maybe a bit of smoke but who knows.

There is no chance Allvin and Rutherford are going to keep Miller around if he wants to play closer to home.

So either way, we will know soon. Either he will be traded or far more likely he comes back healthy and plays.

Laviolette is a coach where things seem to go well and then suddenly they don't. Seems a hard coach to play for and when he loses the room he does so by losing all 23 guys at the same time.
