Miller and the 3 Hughes bros winning 3 cups for NJ over the rest of EP's contract, while he never breaks 80p again, would be vintage Canucks.

This team is cannon fodder without JT. Many don't seem to realize how much of a lightning rod he is, on the ice, and in the media. The wrath of the fanbase and opposing teams will fall completely down on EP, who has shown no ability to play through any adversity.

Many point to that Caps game, and rightfully so. It will be top players that come after Hughes and EP, and you simply cannot respond by having Juulsen, Sherwood or Joshua chase them around. We all saw how that turned out in 2011. Similar case with Zadorov, all that attention he drew from Edmonton, isn't just going to go away, it's just going to be diverted.

As great as Hughes is, he was visibly shook in the playoffs,
Bro this team is currently cannon fodder *with* JT Miller, you really didn't need to type all of that

I have officially made the decision to pull the plug on Twitter and am now fully relying on y'all to be my eyes and ears for all things Canucks.
Your brain is going to feel so clean and tidy in about a weeks time. Highly recommend this to everyone.

We all owe @Vector big time for absorbing all the filth on our behalf and regurgitating it into these threads in safe form. Like a momma bird.

Please do not go to the McDonalds that’s across the street. That McDonalds is too f***ed up for kids.

When I was in high school, my girlfriend at the time’s school set up a dance / party of some sort in the sketchiest possible location - about two blocks from that McDonalds. Late in the evening. As we waited outside in line, a few things became evident - 1) the building was way too small to accommodate all the students that came, and 2) 99% of the students had pre drank hard. Predictably, after about an hour long wait, they announced no one would be permitted inside and cancelled the party. Cue a mini riot of stupid, drunk 15-17 year olds. Police cars and a paddy wagon showed up, and I watched one terrifically stupid teenager punch a cop in the face. The cop promptly suitcased him, threw him into the paddy wagon, then turned to the guy’s friend who very quietly climbed into the wagon after him.

As this was happening and kids were throwing stuff at windows, my girlfriend and I headed for the McDonalds. The late night clientele wasn’t much better than what we’d just left. But I used their phone and called my parents who were on the North Shore. I don’t even think it took ten minutes before my Dad pulled up - he drove like a maniac to get there. I don’t think his wheels even stopped as we jumped in and then he peeled off to take us home.

Pretty sure that was my first and only time at that McDonalds.

Reactions: Mr. Canucklehead
a third team has to be involved for the salaries to work.. omg its gonna happen the miller era is over. my favourite player when he got here in 2018? 2019. june. whoever van gets in the deal will be better for the longrun. no more millerson drama. qh being captain no more divided room.

It’s so wild to think that Miller, Boeser and Demko could all be on the move.
It's really irritating that this all should have been done ahead of the 2023 draft and was clearly foreseeable at that time.

We should have had 3 or 4 top ~20 picks in the 2023 draft and we'd probably be in as good or better of a position with the active roster.

The funny thing is JT is very tradable, who would take on EP with that contract? So where's the value here
Almost every team in the league would crawl a mile over broken glass for the opportunity to trade their two best prospects for EP.

Miller apparently had very little value back when he had two playoff runs for 5.25 mil and was insane value for that money.

Why he had that little value will forever be a mystery to me other than @Vector's patented "most GM's are stupid", but it's unlikely he has more value than that now as a slumping 32 year old signed until 2030 with a NMC.
