It's a bit of a odd place to start a riot but if we're whelmed by the return so be it.
Then Bonino for Sutter, McCann and a 2nd for Guddy, and extensions for everyone.
Seems like things are picking up. Here’s hoping Allvin does the fleecing and not the other way around.

I would want McLeod or their 1st coming back in that deal. Miller is way more valuable than Byram
Miller and the 3 Hughes bros winning 3 cups for NJ over the rest of EP's contract, while he never breaks 80p again, would be vintage Canucks.
This team is cannon fodder without JT. Many don't seem to realize how much of a lightning rod he is, on the ice, and in the media. The wrath of the fanbase and opposing teams will fall completely down on EP, who has shown no ability to play through any adversity.
Many point to that Caps game, and rightfully so. It will be top players that come after Hughes and EP, and you simply cannot respond by having Juulsen, Sherwood or Joshua chase them around. We all saw how that turned out in 2011. Similar case with Zadorov, all that attention he drew from Edmonton, isn't just going to go away, it's just going to be diverted.
As great as Hughes is, he was visibly shook in the playoffs, hobbled after game 1, and making rush plays to avoid further hits. Miller is built for those games.

Heres the last 6 seasons. Miller is a top 10 player in this league. We aren't going to get that value back in a trade. I really don't wanna trade him. We lose that trade 100% of the time.
I think the Idea is you improve just by getting him off the team.

That's a great retrospective, but he's on around a 70 pt, 20 goal pace this year, and he isn't aging in reverse.

Unfortunately I think this is just the outcome that has to happen given the situation. You just have to hope that Pettersson is a 100+ point player going forward
