Never seen Grady Sas with any sourcesMore retention, fantastic. Add it to the pile.

"Retention" is probably more useful than Myers these days.More retention, fantastic. Add it to the pile.
Mixed feelings on everything. Still in shock we’re at this potential stage after the promise of last season.
Fr. I can't remember the last time I was as excited for a seaaon to start as this one. Now this.
More retention, fantastic. Add it to the pile.
I read it as this tbhIt could be retention on the other side to help balance the equation coming our way too, but probably a less likely scenario.
If Miller goes, he won’t be far behind.I see on another thread, Rick Dhailwal is reporting that Boeser and the Canucks have had 'zero discussions' on a new contract. And there's no chance they have anything done before the TDL.
It's been a long run in VanCity for Boeser, but he's as good as gone.
I read it as this tbh
Wouldn’t be excited about any of those players… would be an awful trade if that was the package.Adam Sykora, Bo Groulx, and Chmelar are the scratches. 3 of their 4 top scorers. Definitely odd unless it's just a flu bug.
JT already a great contract so no need to retain, canucks wanting retention on the return makes more sense like you said, however hopefully not Hamilton.Like, for example, if they were doing Hamilton for Miller 1:1, getting 1MM retained in Hamilton to make it dollar for dollar 8MM for 8MM
I think its a three team trade or canucks flip whatever futures basically immediately..Wouldn’t be excited about any of those players… would be an awful trade if that was the package.
So the Blue Jays?Would be funny to see them jump through all these hoops to get a third team involved and have it all fall apart when Miller says "nah, not feeling it, I love Vancouver, I'm gonna stay. Trade Petey."
I honestly think it would be good to move on from JT.
He’s surly as hell, about to turn 32 and now is battling injuries.
If you get the right deal to reset, it’s probably for the best.
Sadly I'm expecting a bunch of quantity and not a whole lot of quality. Something like Kreider + Chytil + a couple of good (not great) prospects/picks
we have not done it for a while but some of the best trades in canuck history are trades where we gave up the best player in a hockey trade.I don't understand how anyone here thinks trading Boeser and Miller is a good idea. The return will be super unwelming for either not to mention we probably won't make the playoffs again anytime in the next few years. Our best winger would be DeBrusk. And 2nd centre Suter? LMAO. Honestly I hope no trades happens and this core can reset in the off season and get a good piece on D and start fresh next year.
Bertuzzi > Luongowe have not done it for a while but some of the best trades in canuck history are trades where we gave up the best player in a hockey trade.
-linden > bertuzzi/mccabe
-butcher/quinn > courtnall/ronning/momesso/dirk
-nedved/janney> brown/hedican/lafayette
Exactly. We're gonna get absolute garbage as a return.Sadly I'm expecting a bunch of quantity and not a whole lot of quality. Something like Kreider + Chytil + a couple of good (not great) prospects/picks
