Ruthervin and Lindenning should never be discussed in the same breath.

Nor in the same thread or forum.

Nor on the same planet or galaxy.

There are legitimate criticisms of Ruthervin; and we will never forget the Lafferty debacle, but these are criticisms of a professional GM in the NHL.

Lindenning was nothing more than tomfoolery of the greatest magnitude imaginable, the dismantling of a franchise by incompetent boobery* that was only matched in sheer unbelievability by the gaslighting and intellectually dishonest takes defending it.

*my apologies to boobs everywhere, for making an equivalence between boobs and what Benning did. Honestly, as much as I detest what Benning effed up, I love boobs

It very is hard to be as bad and stupid as Benning was. I truly believe you could pull a random person of the street and they would have done a better job. I mean, Canucks Army's "potato" had a better track record.

If you believe this is who he is now, and will never be any better. Which we all know where you fall on that, but i struggle to believe a player that is (near) PPG in his career has fallen off completely and is now a 60 point player. It's far more likely he bounces back.

I just posted about this: They are testing and Miller is helping them do it. They go just far enough so as to incentivize them to sit Miller, then pull the offer. It's smart. If in their situation, knowing Miller does prefer to go there, I would do the same thing.

Aside: I know Brady Skjei has fallen off a cliff in NSH, most have, but could he a be a 1 for 1 solution here for Miller? It comes down to what quality of player they're already targeting with the assumed pick from NYR/Other. Would you get a more talented piece back? I'm not sure.
