Mittelstadt hasn't been a fit huh.

Dang. Avs should trade for Miller now.

How do you tell the arguably the most competitive player in the league they are trading his winger?

I just don't get it?

everybody kept saying Mittelstadt was gone
Because Rantanen wants like 13M+, don’t see the canes extending him to that.

Tulsky probably wanted no business in extending Necas so decided it was worth trading him for a better (but also unsigned) Rantanen. I see the risk/benefit here, especially for this Carolina team on the brink of contender status

Good for Colorado.
Good for Carolina.

This makes Canucks mgmt look like idiots.

the only reason i thought it was even halfway plausible carolina was interested in miller is that rod the bod thought he could just wrestle miller into submission but it makes way more sense they were just putting pressure on the avs for this move

Funny what you can do when your team doesn't suck and you actually have trade leverage.

If Rantanen walks then they really just wasted an asset.
