Demko will still have a lot of interest because of his abilities. Obv the injury is a concern for a team but honestly it might be time to start at least shopping him.

Lankinen is fantastic. Behind a competent D he would be outstanding.

If we can get a haul for Demko (big if) you pull the trigger.

Hoglander only got 5 minutes of ice because they were trying to protect his health and trade him tonight obviously

I mean, I like Lankinen. But we've kind of thought "oh crap, our backup can replace our starter so he can be flipped for upgrades" a few times now and it didn't work out. (Martin, Silovs, Lack way back when)

Probably worth more than (half) a season to make sure he's the real deal.

Fair but like I said it would be smart to shop Demko and see his value now and if he plays to his ceiling you circle back and see what the teams are offering then.

Lanks is much more established than the 3 gents you spoke of.

Been thinking the same thing. The Hurricanes are dying on the vine in the crease.....and they have some young d-men in their system that makes your mouth water if you're a Canucks fan.

Canes after so many years of goalie injuries trading a haul for someone with a goalie injury even they havent heard of, isnt happening.

Canes are one of the teams in the NHL 'going for it'. They're a playoff hardened team, with depth everywhere in their lineup, except in goal.

If they're reticent about Demko, they still need help from somewhere. You can't go far in the post-season unless your goaltender is one of your best players.

Yes they need something but..

3 years of Mrazek injuries
3 years of Raanta injuries
3 years of Anderson injuries
2 years of Koch injuries

They aint trading for a guy coming off an injury like Demko's for as long as Demko's.

Maybe they risk it on a Gibson with a normal procedure but not on a popetitlius or whatever.
