i am usually pretty down on the media but hughes and tochett just did media appearances that blew this thing up. they obviously planned to do that. so i don't blame the media any more than i blame my dog if i throw a steak at him and then try and command him to sit.

I have trained my dog that he does not eat anything I throw to him without eye contact and my permission. This includes steak, raw meat, cheese, an entire pizza... He then must successfully complete a test of sit, sit pretty, down, roll, recall, bringing me another item... Some combination of these. Never the same.

It has worked wonders for his impulse control and discipline.

Maybe you should consistently work on your dogs discipline.

There was a hilarious deepfake Jimbo video from when the Canucks re-signed Biega where he thought they’d re-signed Bieksa. I laughed so hard at it, but haven’t been able to find it again. It was on Twitter.

For someone who couldn't even tell which Granlund is the right one, I don't expect him to know the difference between Beiga and Bieksa either.

these are the prospects either avaliable or not available for trade. for weeger or rasmau anderson. wallinder/lerkermakki off the table Unless theres a deal that blows vancouvers socks off and one of them is included.

Very good. Ensure that you can never leave human food in an accessible place for dogs while I will keep my food wherever I want and still come back to it.

i guess our dogs are different. my dog won't ever beg or steal food. i will often put a raw steak on a table right beside the barbecue and go inside leaving it unattended and he won't touch it. i can put my dinner on a low coffee table and leave the room. it is not his. i can't recall a single food theft incident even as a puppy.

but if i give him a bone or a steak, as i do with venison cuts quite often, it is his and the chances are he'd gulp it down before he'd give it up. i don't hunt him but his brother hunts and is a solid bird dog, but same deal if you give the brother food. it's his food. if they did agree to give it back they'd be really pissed about it and rightly so.

if your dog needs stricter training around food, that's fine.

Yes, as my boy was a starving street dog with heavy trauma and an abused past, he did (and does) need significant training to curb his impulse control. Not limited to food only.

Cool, though. What kind of dog do you have? That's a really great trait to have in a dog, to trust 'low' food not being taken.

Brannstrom is sitting right now because 9 of his last 10 games have been horrendous. The Detroit game was fine/good, but other than that, he's been a disaster. share of shots/share of chances/share of XG......brutal across the board.

He had a good start to the season, but his play has fallen off a cliff and he has no special teams utility at all. so with Hronek out, and his PK minutes needing a home, why would they play him?

I don't understand the fawning over this player at all. He's small, soft AF, slow....can't defend in zone to save a drowning baby and not much better against the rush. good first pass aside, he brings little IMO.

I'd rather see Wolanin or Kudryavetsev in a game before Brannstrom again.

Yeah I agree. I see a lot of well why isn't this guy playing or we should have signed this guy statements. Would they really be that much better? I personally highly doubt it. Brannstrom can play the puck decently but he's brutal at everything else. There is a reason he's barely in the league. The only solution is a trade for a legitimate top 4 guy or promotion of youth players like Willander, and maybe EP down the line. None of our current players are going to make much of a difference no matter who plays unfortunately.

It's not like because he has a skillset we lack it makes him a good player or something. He may get the puck moving a bit better but he makes an already porous defence even worse.

Miller has 5 years left on his contract after this year as well. Dude probably just casually glancing at puckpedia without knowing how to use it with any common sense or general hockey knowledge

he was an agm for one year then fired. seems like it was probably because he either can't scout or was too lazy to scout.
