As others have said the best option is keeping Pettersson and Miller. If it really comes down to it, the only young pieces that have reasonably been in rumours that I would be interested in are K'Andre Miller and Cozens. Trade JT Miller to the Rangers for K'Andre Miller++ and use the assets to pry out Cozens.

Just to clarify, my original point wasn't to compare Brannstrom and Juulsen head to head because they aren't competing for the same job, it was to compare the gap in accountability despite Juulsen bringing more of the same and Brannstrom bringing something no other non-Hughes dman brings right now. Juulsen is allowed to be 100% responsible for goals against and keep playing and Brannstrom's not, despite Brannstrom bringing an aspect that every non-Hughes dman right now doesn't have. Visually it looks and feels horrific watching them unable to move the puck and hamstringing the forwards every game.
Brannstrom is sitting right now because 9 of his last 10 games have been horrendous. The Detroit game was fine/good, but other than that, he's been a disaster. share of shots/share of chances/share of XG......brutal across the board.

He had a good start to the season, but his play has fallen off a cliff and he has no special teams utility at all. so with Hronek out, and his PK minutes needing a home, why would they play him?

I don't understand the fawning over this player at all. He's small, soft AF, slow....can't defend in zone to save a drowning baby and not much better against the rush. good first pass aside, he brings little IMO.

I'd rather see Wolanin or Kudryavetsev in a game before Brannstrom again.

I think this is all true, but I also think the Canucks have to give up a bit on the backend in order to have two defensive pairs that can make an outlet pass consistently so that we can get better results at even strength.

But ya, Brannstrom isn’t a regular a good team, but neither are Juulsen and Desharnais.

Full disclosure, I'm not just a member of the Alex Biega fan club, I'm also the president.
Which, coincidentally, is also the Hair Club for men.
