The thing that scares me with Lankinen (in general with goalies with great numbers in small sample size) is if this is his one year wonder or if he really was always this good. With Demko, you already know what you have, you just don't know what the future will hold in regards to his injuries.

Goalies of today are super fickle. Andrew Hammond, Jordan Binnington, Jack Campbell, Ville Husso, Vanacek etc. Every single one of these goalies had better numbers than Lankinen does right now in their one year wonder runs.

Grubauer signed in Seattle after putting up quite good numbers in a growing sample size. it blew up in their face. Undeterred by that, Seattle did the same thing with Joey Daccord and it's worked out brilliantly.

Friedman can be so frustrating. On the one hand says rumors got out of control and crossed the line, and then drops his weird little "Miller has to bend, everyone has to bend" comment that will do nothing but fan the flames of rumors. He can be such a hack sometimes.

It's @pitseleh's point that really gets to me. The "bend" stuff will get play but that's been known and talked about for his entire career. He's intense and gets on guys but there needs to be a medium and everyone is aware of that. Nothing really new there. But the parts pitseleh highlights is click driving.

And I'm not entirely sure if Friedman is even thinking about that in the moment. Whether he's doing it on purpose, or not, all it does is add more fuel to the fire because of the platform he has.

Paying fans should be concerned, why not other players decide to miss games without giving reasons, what if now becomes a real possibility. Maybe Hughes and Pettersson decide not to play due to whatever. Try selling that to a network let alone next year's season ticket holders.

Boeser contract or trade. Can't have him here in another 5 years. Trade him while he has higher value.

Maybe add sweeteners for Cozens out of Buffalo. That would be a hockey trade and one for the future.

It's a great statement for Frank to make. He gets to be in Rutherford/Alvin's good books for a second, JT's agents probably appreciate it and if it's not true, he probably hears all kinds of stuff from his network of information whisperers. if you ever want to learn a lot about a topic, make a very confident, but inaccurate statement about it on social media and then sit back and watch the magic happen. People will spend hours explaining (in excruciating detail) how wrong you are.

Your guesses are nonsensical, schoolyard non-sense at best that looks more like Gossip Girl than an NHL story, and saying it has more meat than a Dhali guess is even wilder. The majority of rational fans here didn't think he asked for a trade, but you continue to peddle anything that you can find to scream drama.

There's a reason almost all your gossiping was deleted in the Miller thread right after the news was announced - you think you are "connecting dots" to come up with a wild, entertaining story, when the reality that's being stated by all parties is almost the total opposite.
