Egypt...yet another bunch of geniuses that think perimeter, non threatening possession matters more than actually scoring goals. Even with established possession, they never have more than 2 guys in the box. Ever. It's comical and gutless.

New Zealand defense is meh and their goalie is bad so they could still turn this around.....but not if they keep doing this nonsense.

Edit: Just now with Salah in a dangerous spot inside box, and 5 Egyptians standing around the box taking pictures
Oh look, Egypt puts 3 guys on the middle 6 and scores. Well golly gee look at that.

Put on my new LFC cap to break it in. Salah gets the goal. That's gotta mean something.

aaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnd...thats game

NZ deserved this with whatever you wanna call those tactics..but they weren't helped by questionable reffing

It might've been a little premature when, going into the halftime break, the TSN guy said that New Zealand was on its way to its first ever World Cup victory.

Itv1 analyst said basically what I was thinking. On the game winning goal, the guy who didn’t get the foul call needs to realize “ok I didn’t get the call, I need to get back into the play.”

You can’t just lay there forever hoping for the ref to change his mind (he won’t) and in the process your team is defending down a man against Egypt.

my bets have been off the f***ing charts today.

Uruguay tie
Iran tie
And Egypt win with over 3.5 goals

Let’s GO

Guess we will have to wait for another tournament to see New Zealand face Old Zealand (Netherlands).

Weird that NZ keeper Crocombe did so well in the Championship for Millwall, he looks rather shaky. Seems more suitable to play at League One level where he played before last season.
