Was always a possibility. One of the countries with the most firepower.
I don't know much about Swedish football, but I remember how they almost didn't even make it into this tournament. It's a great win for sure.
Tunisia was probably the worst team I have seen so far. Curacao at least gave it a go against a powerhouse.
They were terrible

Qualifying was a shit show but there is a lot of quality in the Swdish team, especielly up front. Question has been if Potter could turn it around or not, and hopefully he has been. Being able to stay back and counter against Japan and Netherlands will boost their chances of a good group finish.

What a wild night.

Slept an hour and a half and got up at 01:45 am, two friends arrived and we watched the first period of game 6, unfortunately that was all but it just so happened that we caught the Taylor Hall game winner.

We met up with a whole host of others at a bar, awesome experience, got drunk prior to breakfast and went to bed after 7.

It’s interesting how Sweden & Norway have turned from these big, tough, defensive teams, into teams loaded with attacking talent & questionable defenders.

Yes, this is a ongoing debate we have in Sweden. Lots of people here want us to return to being big, physical and defensive sound because we had more success when we where like that. Lots of talk here that its not in our "blood and dna" to be offensive.

On a side note, our neighbors Denmark have always been offensive oriented unlike Sweden and Norway.

Fittingly enough your entire offensive front line doesn't share Swedish blood and DNA. Which I'm sure is the major reason behind the complaints.

Thats how it is for many national team nowdays. Look at Belgium, Netherlands, England, France, Germany etc they have full of players with roots from other countries. Btw Gygöres mother is Swedish, his father is from Hungary. What many don't realize is that the players in our NT with roots from other countries are born and raised in Sweden and speak fluent Swedish. They are as much Swedes as Musisla and Gnabry are German. But its not really about blood or dna, its more about the approach from the Swedish Federation, they have been trying to change how we play footie for many years.
