Yildiz and Arda are gifted players but they do seem pretty slight. Musiala comes off the same way. Makes you wonder how they will deal with the rigors of top level football in the long run.

As if the Turkey manager heard me, he's taking them off.

You can't tell which of these teams has ten players. Impressive performance from the perspective of will power and hunger.

Say what you will about Cristiano but at least he looked like he wanted to win this game. These blokes onn the pitch don't.

Ruben Neves looks like he's been on a steady diet of shawarma ever since he went to Saudi.

I think the Czech goal has caused some of that "if we concede one more, we're out, with this result we're in" anxiety for the Turks. No-one ever plays good football with anxiety in the room.

could also say that Slovakia going from Spain to England is a stroke of luck as well
Still a more preferable matchup than the Netherlands, but Slovakia is EXACTLY the team that could park the bus for 120 minutes and take England to penalties, aka their worst nightmare.

I should correct myself, the Turks can actually afford to concede a goal. But losing this by one goal takes them to Spain in the next round which I'm sure they'd rather not.
