Hooray, on to the final 32. We'll see if we actually do anything in the knockouts, which we normally don't, but there are twice as many teams that go through in this expanded format so who knows.
I wish you all the luck and favourable reffing in the world.

Plus Every game is a Home Game!

That might be worth a win or two.

Pulisic has time to heal.

SIX goals without him!

I found it a bit puzzling AU went balls to the wall there in that 55-70 minute period knowing when you're like 95-5 to lose the game with a gimme game next you'd just park the bus and take the 2-0 loss. Ultimately after 75 minutes they more or less did do exactly that but they probably got a bit too chancy there

I think goal differential could be a factor if Turkey were to beat the US and Paraguay so makes sense they would be pressing like hell to make it 2-1 considering they clipped Turkey 2-0

We are so fast and athletic and unlike previous generations have the quality on the ball to turn that into repeated chances

Australia were found out against a team that wasn’t just content to pass around in a circle and unsurprisingly resorted to hacking the shit out of their opponent

On to the round of 32, up the states

The US has 6 points and is +5 for GD.

Australia might be in trouble with a -2 today.

Well, the US is moving on, regardless, so they wouldn't need to play him even if Turkey wins tonight, unless they just really want to win the group.
Winning the group is incredibly important. I'm thinking you would absolutely play him if he was fit and you needed to get a result.

Watching AU in this game its fair to say they are not bad. I think it does suggest though Turkiye is probably not as good as people thought, they probably do win tonight but betting its only like 1-0 or 2-1
