These games are at 6 PM Eastern. Morocco's is in Atlanta and Brazil's is in Miami.

It is possible that there are thunderstorms in Miami, and it's going to be hot and this puts Scotland at a severe disadvantage when they already had one in the first place. I think Scotland is absolutely locked into third place here. It remains to be seen if they'll advance or not, you can't say a team with three points will advance when most of the groups haven't played their second game yet. If Brazil wins I don't think Morocco can overcome the goal difference here and they'd slot into second place. Second place from this group plays the Group F first place (Sweden, Japan, or Netherlands). Brazil would play the runner up from that group.

Getting either Japan or Holland as a round 32 match-up right off the bat as a reward for finishing top 2 in the group seems f***ed-up.

I want Scotland to pull off a miracle, but as an Ireland supporter who not so fondly remembers our squad absolutely wilting in the Orlando heat and humidity against Mexico in 94, think this is a bridge too far for Scotland in Miami.

Scotland is a bottom 5 team in this tournament. I get that Brazil is not what they once was but the idea that this piss poor Scotland team getting a result off of them is akin to those were picking Uzbekistan to get a result against Portugal yesterday,

Scotland just doesn't have the quality and they will be playing in Miami in June.

I used to live in Miami. I damn well remember what June is like unless you are right on the coast. The Brazilians will be used to it but Miami's heat index is higher in January (the coldest month) on average than Edinburgh's is in July or August.

Eh. They're not great, but they're hardly bottom 5 either. They're barely bottom 10.

Curacao
Qatar
Haiti
Jordan
Iraq
New Zealand
Uzbekistan
Panama
South Africa

Are all easily worse than Scotland.

Scotland’s problem is there isn’t any scoring threat from anywhere other than midfield. Dykes, Adams, Stewart, Hirst are all sub par and Shankland isn’t any great shakes either.
