Can't complain about the result. France played well and Germany missed a couple of great chances, in addition to a fantastic performance by Huet.

Unnecessary loss for Germany, though with the way they played in the third and OT it was only logical. If the opponents gift you that many pp-opportunities (3x too many men!) you just have to win.

This really was a must-win game for any quarterfinals ambititions. Now they have to count on everyone else splitting the points in the right way.

In my opinion Sturm made some doubtful decisions. This team needed creativity. Dont know if it was smart to cut Kahun. Goc in the shootout was questionable too in my opinion.

Kahun isn't really cut though, he's with the team but just hasn't been nominated yet because he wasn't supposed to play in the first game. I agree though that he should have been playing.

I have no idea why he split Hager and Gogulla. It seemed like a no-brainer to haev these two play together after what they have accomplished this year, especially in the playoffs.

When it comes to the shootout, I guess it always depends on how the players are feeling at that moment. I was rather surprised to see Goc as well, would have thought Reimer would get the nod, but it's not like Goc doesn't have the skill it takes to score.
