Some posters here greatly overrate Russia. They pretty much scored on almost every shot in this period. Kinda reminds me of last years 1/2 Sweden vs USA 6-0

Don’t mind the goals, they were completely dominated during the second period. As soon as the Russians increased the pace, we were f***ed.

Every game lives it's own life and come quarter finals and semi this is forgotten
Russia has been the best team so far in this tournament , and I don't believe Sweden will get more than at best silver this year...

Yup, I kind of feel for Markström in his scenario, because he played against Finland, got hurt, played against a weak team and then rested for a ton, got cold and then had to face Russia. Not the ideal situation to prove your worth. Meanwhile, Lundqvist could find his groove and couldn't find it.

Well, I guess we can relax and be underdogs in the playoffs. On another note, I don't think I've seen a single Russian fan commentating. It looks like they've migrated.

Hey now, when Sweden won gold in the olympics in 2006, they had a quite bad group stage (they weren't exactly 1st in their group, were they?). It's the playoffs that matter, one game at a time. It's when Sweden wins every game you start to worry, even if I think it'll be tough for this team to win it all. All the better.

They can play as crappy as they want, as long as they give it all in the playoffs.
