Yeah, the sub-group of that three teams will be created taking into consideration their mutual points and if they are still tied, then the goal differential comes into place (and 4 other tie breaking formulas if needed )

Well... doesn't take a visionary to predict this one. Slovakia will play good in the 1st, keeping the score tied or possibly scoring one goal, then in the half of the 2nd USA scores 2-3 quick goals, after which Slovakia completely falls apart.

I have never understood the IIHF standards for what is legal and what isn't. NHL standard that is as clean as it gets.
