Although to be fair, Starkbaum shouldn't be anywhere near the goal in a meaningful game at this point so him getting lit up isn't too surprising.

EP got so much control and plays so close to the opposition so it is reflexive for the opponents to deliver a penalty.

Yeah. He challenges in close with good control and forces the defender to play close without quite being able to take the body. That's a recipe for a lot of drawn penalties. Nazem Kadri used to do just that, but unfortunately he also had trouble staying on his feet so he no longer gets those calls.

Lindholm has struggled more than pettersson. But svt isnt talking about it.

Yeah, they haven't really found immediate chemistry, that's for sure, but they haven't exactly been bad either. Lindholm is good defensively, so it should be fine. Landeskog - Lindholm - Pettersson should be given some more time together, but I wouldn't be against trying someone like Bratt or Lander there.

Yes, he fumbles with the puck and can't connect a difficult pass. He's not good on a bottom 6 line or in a role where he can't just roam the crease.

Hardly ironically because Adrian Kempe and Lander have been pretty good when I’ve seen them without Loui.

It's fine IMO. Austrian fans want to see their team, Austrian kids get to watch top hockey and the Swedish team can work on details and finding line chemistry. Austrian players also experience what it looks like when you're an elite player.
